AirBorne's
new sub-155 pound, 2-stroke, single-seat
V-Lite is now in production. This Very Lite trike is
almost 50 pounds lighter than the 4-Stroke T-Lite (which weighs
198 lbs.).
The engine for this tiny aircraft will be the Thor Polini 2-stroke engine. This little engine was 30 pounds and puts out 20.5 HP.
The wing is based on a modified F2 (Fun) hang-glider plan form, which is a single-surface wing. And for those of you who are hang-glider pilots -- with a conversion kit you can use this wing as a hang-gliding wing as well as a V-Lite wing.
This trike is designed to be a true soaring trike, capable of taking full advantage of thermal lift.
