Father's Day Fly-In

Last fall we sponsored an East Coast Trike Fest fly-in at Footlight Ranch in Pennsylvania. We immediately fell in love with the place, so we've decided to join Footlight this June during the Mason/Dixon Ultralight Father's Day Fly-In.

This is the 23rd anniversary of what we've heard is a phenomenal event.  Here is a USUA description of the event:

We welcome any aircraft capable of operating from a well-maintained, lighted, 70x2600 foot turf runway.  On the grounds of the Footlight Ranch, the Fly-In features an all you can eat Prime Rib Dinner on Friday, with an old fashioned picnic on Saturday.  Flightline movies every night. Snacks and lunch are available all weekend at the Cross Winds Cafe on the flight line.  The Olympic size swimming pool, volleyball courts and horseshoe pits are available to all attendees.  Camping and rustic bunkhouse available.  A family event and a USUA Signature Event.  For more information contact Jerry Rosie at (717) 243-7923 or visit www.footlightranch.com.

Please join us there and come prepared to have a great time of flying and fellowship.  The dates are June 17 through June 19.

Aeronca / Trike Fly-In

We've nailed down the date for the fall trike fest back at Footlight Ranch.  The dates are September 9-11, 2011. Last year the number of trikers and airplanes was probably evenly split but we'd like to see even more trikers there this year.  This has got to be one of the prettiest flying spots in the east and September is one of the prettiest flying months in this part of the country.  Please plan to join us -- we'll see you there.
