AirBorne XT-Series Aircraft

The XT Models represent AirBorne's top of the line.  They were designed from the ground up with ruggedness, maintainability, and ease of operation in mind.  All of the XTs come with the following standard features:

• Skydat GX2 Digital instrument panel
• Electric start
• Ceramic coated exhaust
• Steering dampner
• Fully upholstered custom seating
• 18.5 gallon gas tank
• Gas assist main mast to make raising and lowering the main wing a breeze
• Tested to 6g positive and 3g negative
• CASA certified to SLSA and Primary category (CASA is Australia's FAA)

The XT aircraft are available with either the 80hp Rotax 912UL 4-stroke engine or the 65hp Rotax 582 engine.

XT-912 Models

XT912-SST Tundra NEW!
Rotax 912 Four Stroke 80HP

SST stands for strutted or strut braced wing. With superior aerodynamics over conventional microlights with top rigging it also allows the aircraft to be stored in a much lower hanger. In fact, if the wing was lowered into the low hangar position it would need even less height than a small fixed wing aircraft.

Rotax 912 Four Stroke 80HP

One of the finest flexwing microlight on the market. When you step into the cockpit of an XT you will immediately notice how comfortable it is. In flight the XT with the Streak or Cruze wing has precise and predictable handling. The engineered finish obvious.

XT-912 Outback

The ultimate go anywhere trike. Standard kit includes tundra wheels, 70 liter fuel tank and GX instruments. The XT Outback makes for a great work horse, remote aerial photography, mustering, banner towing from beaches (where allowed). It also makes a great hang glider tug!

 

XT-582 Models

XT-582 Tourer
Rotax 582 DC Two Stroke 65HP

All the refinements of the XT-912 base with the lower cost 582 Rotax engine. The XTC-582 comes standard with the Cruze wing. The Cruze has a fully faired control frame with a trimmer control. The enclosed battens make for a super clean training edge.

All the refinements of the XT-912 base with the lower cost 582 Rotax engine. The XTC-582 Tundra comes standard with the Cruze wing and big 6”x 8” Tundra Tires on 6” rims. The Cruze has a fully faired control frame with a trimmer control. The enclosed battens make for a super clean training edge.

 

XT-582 Outback

This model also comes standard with the tundra undercarriage, GX instruments and 70 liter fuel tank. Again a great workhorse for remote aerial photography, mustering, banner towing from beaches (where allowed). Also makes a great hang glider tug!
